The Menu

(Jim)Finally, something close to my house worth returning to!

Lajamaya is a Salvadoran (from El Salvador) restaurant. Salvadoran food I guess, is know known for their pupusas. No, that doesn't mean anything nasty or perverted. Pupusas are like thick tortillas stuffed with meat or veggies if you choose.

Anyways, I've been to this place twice, and I wouldn't mind going again. The first time I went, I ordered the huevos rancheros because I love that dish. It's the same as the Mexican version. I forgot what my friends had except they liked the pupusas. I ordered the veggie pupusa. It was okay, but I didn't LOVE it. The second time I went with Mimi, I ordered the tilapia in ranchero sauce with a side of fried plantains. Mimi ordered the fish with garlic sauce I think. The tilapia with ranchero sauce was pretty tasty. I would get that again when I go back. Both fish dishes were about $10 each.

The service is pretty good, but sometimes the waiters don't speak English well. I got through it, so anybody can. Check this place out son.
